'The Wind Breathes': New Hampshire - September 2010 PRIVATE WORKSHOP

'The Wind Breathes' Workshop: October 16 - 18, 2009 (Hours: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.)

"Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns." ~George Eliot

The Wind BreathesThe art of landscape painting, like any other endeavor, is not something that comes quickly or easily. There is no effortless way to become a successful outdoor painter. It takes time as well as practice and application to hone your observational skills and improve your painterly technique. As Paul Cezanne said, All pictures painted inside in the studio will never be as good as the things done outside.”

David P. Curtis’s Cape Ann Summer Workshops are designed for those students wishing to improve their artistic skills by focusing on the fundamentals of oil painting outdoors. There is no substitute for learning to paint landscapes other than being on the spot amidst nature. The plein air workshop helps students focus on the vital fundamentals by offering 3 days of disciplined painting time. Too often we are distracted by the workaday world and creativity needs the freedom of a clear mind to be able to come to the fore. Sign up now and see for yourself how your skills improve when you have time to give them the consideration they deserve.

Tuition: $250.00 per student. Please use contact page to register as space in this class is limited.
