David received his formal training with R. H. Ives Gammell. He is a past Copley Master, a member of the Guild of Boston Artists, the North Shore Arts Association and past President of the Rockport Art Association. With 30 years of plein air painting experience he has been conducting outdoor classes and workshops since 1993.

North Shore Arts Association

David P. Curtis is a participating member of the North Shore Arts Association in Gloucester, Massachusetts

Rockport Art Association

Curtis is an active member of the Rockport Art Association as well as a past president and a current board member. He instructs regular workshops for the association, plein air in fall and a still life class in winter.

The Guild of Boston Artists

David Curtis is a long time member of this prestigious organization, and an ex-member of the Board of managers. He is an active participant in member shows.
